Luxurious leisure boats were displayed at the 2015 Japan International Boat Show that kicked off at the Pacifico Yokohama on March 5. There were also seven imported luxury vehicles and non-sea-faring vehicles displayed in the show. Moreover, every vehicle in exhibit is worth more than 10 million yen.
Those seven units are composed of the McLaren 650S (34 million yen); the Rolls-Royce Wraith (33.33 million yen); the Ferrari California T (24.50 million yen); the Audi S8 (19.35 million yen); the Audi RS6 (17.80 million yen); the Lotus Evora S (12 million yen); and the Lotus Exige S (11 million yen).
“Although last year was the first time we exhibited in a boat show, the feedback was amazing. That is why we also decided to have the exhibit this year. Actually, it is an ideal exhibition for displaying our vehicle since there seems to have been cases where purchases were made. And since there are good groups of customers as well.” says the Lotus’ import agency official regarding the aim of display.
Among the visitors, there were many people who deliberately gazed at the imported luxury vehicles and there were those who agreed upon hearing the price. In addition, there were also visitors who purchased 50,000 yen products without any hesitation at the booth that sold boat supplies. To some extent, it might be better for those who sell imported luxury vehicles to display them in boat shows rather than in motor shows.
