Toyota has released an official video of the Yaris WRC which is currently on development and aims to race in the 2017 WRC World Rally Championship.
With its aim of returning to the WRC next year, the Toyota Gazoo Racing WRC Team test-drove the Yaris WRC for the first time near its Finland development facility in May. After that, it tested the model at various locations. It is still in the early development stages but it has already run a distance of 5000km in Europe.
Team representative Tommi Makinen said, “We have worked hard to be on time. We have completed a lot of test sessions since May and we have stuck to our schedule. The addition of a second car has helped us to up the pace and diversify the development testing.”
Toyota Gazoo Racing has released an official to show the 2017 Yaris WRC being tested. It also established a global SNS account for keeping the public updated on its progress in preparing for next year’s racing.
