The comments of the riders were gathered.

Katsuyuki Nakasuga
“Although we participated in the Suzuka 8 Hours with a factory-backed team, I did not expect that we would win in the first year. We felt pressured since our team lost in the Suzuka 8 Hours in the past. However, the support of the team staff, my teammates, and all of the fans helped us to achieve the victory.”

Pol Espargaró
“I’m so happy. It was an unbelievable race. I have to say sorry to my teammates because I made a mistake during the race. However, we were able to win the Suzuka 8 Hours for the first time and I am happy that I was able to contribute to the first victory of Katsuyuki Nakasuga in the Suzuka 8 Hours.”

Bradley Smith
“Although we had a mistake during the race, I believe that it resulted to gaining laps with a good pace. We were able to win the Suzuka 8 Hours as the 60th anniversary for Yamaha’s racing activities. In addition, I am very happpy that we were able to prove the potential of the YZF-R1.”
