On February 13, Honda Motor Co., Ltd. unveiled the four-wheel motor sports racing lineup for 2015.
Honda will participate as a power unit supplier in the F1. They aim to acquire the driver and constructor championship with the two-man lineup of Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button from Mclaren Honda.
Gabriele Tarquini and Tiago Monteiro from Castrol Honda World Touring Car Team, a works team, will also participate in the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC). They will continue to fully participate for the third year in a row. Furthermore, for the private team, they will provide a vehicle to the new Nika Racing in addition to ZengÅ‘ Motorsport; this will be their third year of participation. They also aim to acquire the driver and manufacturer titles with this work team.
They will also challenge the GT500 class in Super GT series to regain the driver and team titles with the five team-five lineup system with the NSX Concept-GT, a two-liter inline four-cylinder direct-injection turbo engine and racing hybrid system exclusive for the race. In addition, they will also continue this season in the GT300 class and continue to provide racing hybrid systems. They will support the racing activities of Autobacs Racing Team Aguri with M-TEC.
In the All Japan Championship Super Formula series, they will also be providing the HR-414E, an enhanced two-liter inline four-cylinder direct-injection turbo engined, to five teams and 9 units. They aim to also acquire the driver and team title.
In the North American IndyCar series, Takuma Sato who has participated in the season for the sixth year, will participate from A.J. Foyt Racing team that will continue this season.
