TCR racer version of new Honda Civic to race in 2018

On July 12, Milano-based JAS Motorsport unveiled the new Honda Civic Type R TCR race car.

The Civic Type R TCR is based on the new Civic Type R and was developed to race in the TCR Touring Car Championship’s 2018 series. TCR is a new international touring car race that kicked off in the spring 2015. Various automakers are currently competing in TCR, including Volkswagen, Audi, Peugeot and Subaru.

The Civic Type R TCR’s features include a new multi-link rear suspension with the latest FIA lifting device, an anti-roll bar system, an advanced ECU electronic control unit, and an improved roll cage.

There is also a version with specs for customers entering races like the VLN 24-Hour Endurance Series that can use ABS. The exterior features changes that improve the aerodynamic performance over the mass market model. The large front lip spoiler and rear wings are particularly impressive.
