On September 29, Yamaha Motor Company (YMC) announced it has received the Good Design Award for four products, which included the selection of their XSR900 motorcycle for the Good Design Best 100.
The XSR900 is an 847cc road sport model that combines authentic retro styling with advanced technological performance. It was rated highly for its overwhelming beauty that’s both powerful and delicate as well as for its aesthetic touch that’s reflected throughout the machine.
In addition, Yamaha was awarded the Good Design Award for its SR320FB sport cruiser, YPJ-R electrically power-assisted bicycle and the &Y01, an electrically power-assisted wheelchair co-designed with Yamaha Corporation that plays music. The Good Design Award for &Y01 marks the first time YMC has received an award together with Yamaha Corporation.
These award-winning products will be showcased at the Good Design Exhibition 2016 (G Exhibition) to be held from October 28 to November 3 at Tokyo Midtown.
