According to new light motorcycle sales figures for July released by the Japan Light Motor Vehicle and Motorcycle Association, sales were down 10.0% from the previous year at 4,557 units sold, marking the 8th month of decline.
Yamaha held the top share. Its sales were down 4.6% year-on-year at 2,021 units. Second place was Honda, down 9.2% at 1,120 units.
Third place was Kawasaki, down 0.6% at 709 units. Fourth place went to Suzuki, which was also down 31.0% at 447 units. All makers saw year-on-year decline for the 4th straight month.
