Honda unveils CBR250RR with newly developed engine for Indonesia

Honda Indonesia motorcycle subsidiary PT Astra Honda Motor has unveiled the new CBR250RR 250cc sport model. Sales will start at the end of 2016 in Indonesia and it is set for a Japan release as well.

The CBR250RR made an appearance at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show as the Lightweight Super Sports Concept.

The CBR250RR is being produced in Indonesia, which is its main market. It has the largest engine displacement of any Honda Group motorcycle produced in Indonesia.

It is equipped with a newly developed 4-stroke DOHC4 valve in-line 2-cylinder 250cc engine which is suitable for both regular street riding and sport circuit racing. It offers a smooth output for all speeds up to the high-speed range. It has a throttle by wire system and three choices of engine mode.

Its frame has steel pipe truss construction with the aim of offering both power and suppleness. It is equipped with an aluminum gull arm for the swing arm and its right side arm is in a slightly angled shape so that the exhaust pipe doesn’t hang over too far and its slim and good for banking.

It has handstand suspension for the front and Pro-Link for the rear with 5-step adjustable preload. The front brake disc is 310mm and the rear is 240mm large wave disc.

The headlights are the dual LED headlights that make the identity of the CBR series.
