Yamaha has plans to release the Tricity 155 3-wheeled commuter with two wheels in front and a 155cc Blue Core water cooling engine.
The new model is its 2nd LMW (Leaning Multi Wheel). It is set to go on sale in Europe from September for 4,499 euro (about 556,000 yen) and then it will be rolled out in Japan, mainland Asia and elsewhere.
Yamaha released its first commercial multi-wheel commuter the Tricity 125 in Thailand in April, 2014. Afterwards, it was released globally in regions such as Japan and Europe. It’s a stylish vehicle that offers a new kind of driving experience that combines comfort, sportiness and safety.
The new Tricity 155 was developed using the concept of “A New Standard City Commuter with a wide range and sense of possession.” The newly designed frame designed to improve rigidity has a Blue Core engine for excellent driving performance and fuel efficiency. It also has features designed for longer-distance riding such as an enlarged flat footboard for better positioning, a 23.5 liter storage trunk, covered case equipped with a DC power socket, and new parking brake.
