At the 2016 Tokyo Motorcycle Show, Yamaha displayed the XSR900 60th Anniversary version of the new XSR900 sports road bike with special colors to commemorate the occasion.
It was developed under the concept of “The Performance Retro-ster” and is a model that combines a tasty retro exterior with performance boosted by using the most advanced technology available. It has the same engine as the current MT-09’s 845cc water-cooled in-line 3-cylinder engine, which puts out 110ps. Equipped with Traction Control System (TCS), Assist & Slipper Clutch (A&S), and ABS, it’s designed for maximum performance.
Based on the XSR900, the anniversary edition has an aluminum tank cover with speed block graphics, a gold fork outer tube, a black headlamp case, yellow coil rear suspension, and a special emblem. Yamaha is doing a limited run of the bike and orders will be taken until the end of September. The price is 1,074,600 yen.
