Yamaha introduced the Dark-Bluish Gray Metallic 8 (Gun Metal/Blue) as a new color for the MT-09 Tracer ABS with an 845cc 3-cylinder engine.
The combination of blue and gray exudes a mature material quality. Its unique and refined ambiance arises from its coloring.
Its 3-cylinder engine parallel to 42.5 degrees tilt with a downdraft intake is a 845cc unit, which was developed based on Yamaha’s original Crossplane Concept. It generates linear torque, and it outputs tenaciously high torque towards the rider’s throttle control. At the same time, it also gives off a smooth performance.
Its lightweight aluminum frame generated through Yamaha’s very own CF Aluminum Die Casting technology provides a highly rigid balance. It has been set with front and rear suspensions that have excellent shock absorbing properties and road holding, thus providing a comfortable ride quality in any situation.
Its front brake has an opposed-piston engine with a 4-pot caliper and a 298mm rotor, providing smooth braking and releasing of brake, as it performs excellent braking mechanism control.
As for its Drive mode (D-Mode) system, aside from the Standard (STD) mode, which is brought about by the rider’s preference and riding environment, it also enables the rider to select the A-mode, where the rider can enjoy a sharper and more direct response than the STD-mode. The rider can also select the B-mode which has a more gentle and manageable output than the STD-mode.
Furthermore, its Traction Control System (TCS), which contributes to a smooth departure on wet roads and unpaved roads, enables the rider to select ‘off’ mode.
It is available with three color variations: Matte Silver, Red, and the new Gun Metal/Blue. The new color variation is set to be released on April 15, and its price including tax is 1,047,600 yen.
