Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. announced that it has reached accumulated total visitors of two million for the Communication Plaza, its corporate museum, on January 9.
The accumulated total visitors of one million was achieved on February 28, 2009, 10 years and six months since its establishment. The two million mark was achieved five years and 11 months since that day. A souvenir was presented to the 2,000,000th visitor.
The inception of the Communication Plaza was originally brewed during the company’s 40th anniversary. Opened on July 1, 1998, which marked Yamaha’s 43rd founding anniversary, it will welcome its 18th year of establishment this year. As the space that will unlock the “Past, Present, Future” of Yamaha, the Communication Plaza has displayed a variety of their products and has been doing exhibits of its latest technology and activities. The Plaza has conducted children’s events like engine disassembly/assembly classroom, and has made available many local and original drinks and food in lunch plates at the Plaza Cafe.
It was revamped in July 2015 and was reborn to further promote exchanges through the newly organized “Design technology display space,” which will artistically present the techniques and designs of the company, and the additional experience corner which includes the boat maneuvering simulator “Helm Master.”
