Suzuki is set to launch the new Address 110 scooter on March 19. The price is 205,200 yen. The Address 110, a global model that will be released in Japan, South East Asia, Europe and Oceania, will be manufactured in Indonesia.
The Address 110 is outfitted with 14-inch tires that conform to various road conditions. It has storage and carrying capacities that are important in Japan. The new 112cc engine also achieves 51.2km/liter in WMTC mode. All in all, it offers performance from a global perspective. Despite being a scooter, one of its attractive features is its price being only 200,000 yen.
At the press launch on January 21st, Eiji Mochizuki, Motorcycle Division General Manager and Director and Senior Managing Officer, said, “The keyword for its development was ‘globalization.’ Placing the production base in Indonesia, our largest market, and supplying the world from there will be more cost effective and will make its price, which is already the Address’ attractive feature, even cheaper.”
In addition, Suzuki Motorcycle President Hidenobu Hamamoto said, “Because of the emission regulations in 2008, the motorcycle demand dropped for a period of time, but it is making a recovery these days. Particularly, there’s an increasing trend of people getting licenses for small motorcycles (125cc or less). With the new Address 110, we want to get those customers who want to upgrade from 50cc,futher expanding our market share.”
