2017 Tokyo Auto Salon: Subaru to unveil BRZ STI Sports Concept

Fuji Heavy Industries (Subaru) and Subaru Tecnica International (STI) plan to unveil the BRZ and WRX STI Sports Concept models at the 2017 Tokyo Auto Salon, which runs from January 13 to 15 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.

The concept models are BRZ and WRX S4 versions of the STI Sports luxury grade. The BRZ STI is based on the BRZ GT but with 18 inch aluminum wheels and STI Sports parts for the interior and exterior to create a luxury sports car that offers a heightened driving experience. The luxurious Bordeaux interior which is the hallmark of the STI Sports series is also given a new design for the BRZ STI. The WRX S4 STI Sports is also a luxury sports sedan made for high performance with a luxurious design.

It also plans to exhibit at the booth the Levorg STI Sports-STI Performance and Impreza G4-STI Performance equipped with the STI Performance Package, the WRX STI NBR Challenge 2016 which won in its class in both 2015 and 2016 at 24 Hours Nürburgring, and the BRZ GT300 2016 Super GT racer.

During the event, there will also be the Motor Sports Talk Show with drivers and directors who participate in Subaru Motor Sports; and the STI Sports Talk Show, where developers will give talks about the BRZ/WRX S4 STI Sports. There will also be Subaru and STI goods for sale including good only available at the show and a BRZ GT given as a special prize to one lucky winner for taking a survey.
