Show theme for the 45th Tokyo Motor Show 2017

JAMA announces “BEYOND THE MOTOR” as theme for 2017 Tokyo Motor Show

The Japan Automobile Manufacturer’s Association (JAMA) announced that its show theme for the 45th Tokyo Motor Show 2017 to be held at Tokyo Big Sight from October 27 to November 5, 2017 is “BEYOND THE MOTOR.”

This theme represents JAMA’s aspirations for the Tokyo Motor Show to focus on the broadly extended functional value and enjoyment of automobiles, attracting and integrating globally leading-edge knowledge and transcending industry borders to spawn new innovation and business.

Moreover, the theme logo “TMS” is an abbreviation for “Tokyo Motor Show.” It represents JAMA’s vision of extending new mobility values that embrace a variety of ideas and technologies by looking beyond the automotive industry.

To express its theme of “BEYOND THE MOTOR,” the Tokyo Motor Show will welcome participation from a wide range of enterprises involved in the future of mobility and feature programs that emphasize a more thematic focus. In addition, JAMA is discussing the possibility of holding a direct-experience program featuring the latest technologies such as virtual reality, as well as conference events that gather key figures involved in the development of next-generation mobility.
