Furthermore, the judges praised the model for the design and coloring both inside and out that give it a unique and highly attractive look. “The level of the driving performance is also satisfying,” the comments said. The judges praised it as a model that widens the possibilities of what a kei car could be.
The Car Of The Year winner was the Subaru Impreza and the Audi A4 series won for best import car.
Subaru Impreza Sport / G4 wins Japan Car Of The Year
2016-2017 Japan Car Of The Year, which decides “This Year’s Car” for Japan, held the final selection on December 9 at the Tokyo International Exchange Center and gave the top spot to the Subaru Impreza Sport / G4.
Audi A4 Wins Import Car Of The Year
The Import Car Of The Year went to the Audi A4 Series. It scored the most points of all of the “10 Best” import models.
Innovation Category â€“ Nissan Serena
In the Innovation category, the award went to the Nissan Serena, which is equipped with the ProPilot driving technology.
Emotional Category â€“ BMW M2 Coupe
The BMW M2 Coupe won in the Emotional category. The judgement said, “It has a high level of maturity for a compact FR sports model and it’s fun to drive.”
Special Category â€“ Honda NSX
The Honda NSX won for the Special category. The judges say they chose it because it didn’t fit easily into any of the other established categories.
