Nissan's official delivery ceremony for the Rio Olympic/Paralympic Games

Nissan delivers first official vehicle for upcoming Rio Olympic/Paralympic Games

On July 12, Nissan Motor Company, the official car supplier for the 2016 Rio Olympic and Paralympic Games, presented their first official vehicle ahead of its opening day in August.

Nissan is scheduled to supply approximately 4,200 vehicles to the Games’ organizing committee to be used for purposes such as pickup and drop off service for the athletes and event representatives.

Over 200 of these vehicles will be the all-new Kicks crossover. Newly developed for Brazil and other South American markets, the Kicks will be released on August 5 to the Brazilian market.

Nissan Brasil’s President Francois Dossa said, “The fleet delivery is an important moment for us because this directly involves our vehicles, most of which were produced in Brazil.”
