Honda to participate in the Rose Parade with a hybrid-powered float for the sixth straight year

In January 1, 2015, American Honda will participate in the Rose Parade, an annual event held on New Year’s Day in Los Angeles. Honda’s float entry will feature the majestic wonders of national parks.

Held in Pasadena, Los Angeles, California each year on New Year’s Day, the Rose Parade is part of America’s New Year celebration. The Rose Parade boasts a long history with 2016 as its 127th year. About one million tourists come to the parade every year.

There will be many float entries in the parade. The floats use large trucks, making it similar to festival cars used in Japanese festivals. Honda will participate in 2016 Rose Parade with its own float.

Honda’s 2016 float entry is named, “Nature’s Hope.” It will feature the natural beauty of American national parks. The float will have an overall length and height of 100 feet (about 30 meters) and 24 feet (about 7.3 meters) respectively. According to American Honda, their 2016 Rose Parade float entry will be one of the largest floats.

American Honda also said: “The float will be powered by a hybrid powertrain for the sixth straight year.”
