Toyota GAZOO Racing (TGR) will be showcasing its GR Super Sport Concept at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2018, to be held at Makuhari Messe during January 12-14, 2018.
TGR’s theme for the Tokyo Auto Salon 2018 is “Meister’s Workshop.” It will feature a lineup of cars that have competed in various motorsport races as well as those that have evolved through these competitions, in addition to promoting the enjoyment of customizing vehicles. Taking center stage for TGR at the 2018 show is the GR Super Sport Concept, which embodies TGR’s remarkable technology cultivated through its involvement in the World Endurance Championship (WEC). Other than its teaser, which reveals the GR Super Sport Concept’s elegant silhouette, no details have been made available at this time.
TGR’s lineup of exhibits will also include motorsport competition models such as the Yaris WRC and TS050 Hybrid as well as production models such as the 86GR and the Vitz GRMN, limited to 150 units. In addition, TGR will unveil its racers for next year’s 24 Hours of Nurburgring, to be held in May, as well as announce the drivers for the race on January 12.
