On December 8, Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. announced it will introduce the all-new Avalon at the 2018 North American International Auto Show, which commences in January 2018.
The Avalon is the Toyota brand’s top-of-the-line sedan for the U.S. market. The first-generation Avalon debuted back in 1994, and was exported to Japan from 1995. In 2000, Toyota redesigned the Avalon and released its second-generation model, which was sold in Japan as the Toyota Pronard.
The third-generation Avalon was launched in 2005, followed by the debut of the current fourth-generation model, featuring gasoline and hybrid powertrains, in spring 2012 at the New York International Auto Show. The fourth-generation Avalon underwent a significant makeover for its 2016 model, which was released in February 2015.
The soon-to-be-unveiled all-new Avalon is its fifth-generation model. Toyota has posted a teaser image, which reveals its headlights featuring the latest LED technology and a large front grille.
