On November 28, Subaru Corporation introduced the all-new Ascent at the preview event of the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show.
In pursuit of greater growth in the North American market, Subaru developed the Ascent targeted at families. This new 3-row midsize SUV is the production model of the Ascent SUV Concept and replaces the previously produced Tribeca.
Based on Subaru’s “Dynamic x Solid” design philosophy, the exterior emphasizes functionality, which is valued on a 3-row midsize SUV. With the largest body size amongst all Subaru models, the Ascent provides plenty of interior space to seat up to seven or eight passengers.
The Ascent also features Subaru Global Platform, and offers a comfortable ride that’s smooth and quiet through its increased body rigidity. In addition, Subaru’s all-new midsize SUV is equipped with core technologies including Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive powered by a newly developed 2.4-liter four-cylinder Boxer direct fuel injection turbo engine and X-MODE, which enhances SUV performance.
