Honda C001 Concept revealed in China

On November 17, Honda Motor Company introduced its C001 Concept at the 2017 Guangzhou Motor Show in China.

The C001 was created by a group of young designers at Honda Motor China Technology (Honda Design Studios) based in Guangzhou, China. In terms of production models, this design team is in charge of the Gienia (Dongfeng Honda) and the Crider (Guangqi Honda).

The C001 previews Honda’s next-generation compact sedan. This four-door sedan concept features thin headlights and flowing contours on its body. The front end has no grille, which may be an indication of an electric powertrain.

According to Honda, the C001 “embodies Honda’s aim of expanding further into the Chinese market and the growth of its design team in China.”
