Toyota and Lexus set to debut new models in L.A.

On November 7, organizers of the Los Angeles Auto Show, which commences in late November, announced that Toyota and Lexus will be unveiling new models at the upcoming event.

As of this moment, both Toyota and Lexus have not revealed any details regarding these models. However, Toyota, which released the Mirai fuel cell vehicle to the U.S. market, is scheduled to make an announcement concerning its new hydrogen infrastructure project.

At the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show, Toyota unveiled its C-HR for the North American market. The North American C-HR’s powertrain lineup consists solely of a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder gasoline engine, which is not available in Japan. This 2.0-liter engine generates a maximum output of 144 hp and maximum torque of 19.3kgm.

As for Lexus, the 2016 show was the stage for its launch of the Sriracha IS. For this model, the IS was specially customized to give it a chili sauce-like appearance, through collaboration with Sriracha sauce, a highly popular brand of chili sauce in the U.S.
