Honda releases U.S. Civic Hatchback loaded with safety features

On August 29, Honda released its all-new Civic Hatchback in the U.S. market for a base price of $19,900 USD.

The new Civic Hatchback is assembled at Honda’s Swindon Plant in the UK and exported to the U.S. Moreover, this is the first-ever Civic Hatchback in the U.S. to feature a five-door body.

The U.S. model comes equipped with a 1.5-liter inline four-cylinder VTEC turbo gasoline engine that generates 174hp of maximum output. Meanwhile, the Sport trim offers an enhanced 180hp of maximum output.

The new Civic Hatchback features the Advanced Driving Assist System (ADAS) and offers Honda’s Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM), and Lane Departure Warning (LDW) which is integrated with RDM and adaptive cruise control (ACC). CMBS and ACC are operated by low speed follow (LSF).
