Albeit there is still time for the next-gen Maruti Swift Dzire to hit the market, the booking for the upcoming model has finally started in India. The new Swift Dzire, which is expected to unveil at the Auto Expo 2018, is reportedly a revamped model of the second generation variant of the same lineup.
Maruti Suzuki India promises to remodel both the exterior and interiors of the upcoming sedan for a more modern outlook. Surprisingly the bookings that have initialized are unofficial, but customers are willing to pay Maruti dealers a sum varying from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 10,000 for booking the upcoming vehicle.
As for the engine unit in the new Maruti Swift Dzire, the car is reportedly expected to feature the same engines from the current variant. This is reported to be a 1.2-litre K-series petrol unit. The diesel one is 1.3-litre DDiS unit. Both models will support a five-speed manual transmission gearbox module. However, rumors note of automatic transmission variants to be featured as well once the car launches in India.
