Land Rover has slashed prices of all their SUVs currently on sale in India by as much as Rs 50 lakh. The move comes following a drop in the value of the Pound Sterling in the wake of Brexit.
The flagship Range Rover Vogue which is imported in to the country now costs Rs 50 lakh less, while the price of the Range Rover Sport has gone down by Rs 30 lakh.
Locally assembled models like the Land Rover Discovery Sport just got cheaper by Rs 4 lakh. Prices of the Range Rover Evoque have gone down by Rs 3 lakh.
The price cut will now enable the British brand to compete its main rivals- Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz. The car maker will now be hoping to gain a better foothold in the premium luxury SUV segment in India.
