Jeep certainly has big plans for India. The American brand kicked off their India operations by launching the Wrangler and Grand Cherokee. On April 11, 2017, they unveiled the India-spec Jeep Compass.
The company now plans to introduce the Jeep Compass Trailhawk in the Indian market. The more off-road focused version of the Compass will make its debut at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo.
The Compass Trailhawk will be a premium offering with some serious off-roading capabilities. It has a raised ride height with bespoke suspension that allows it to conquer rough terrain. The aesthetics of the vehicle are distinct with skid plates at both ends new bumpers with exposed tow hooks and contrasting black surfaces completing the rugged look.
Under the hood, the Compass Trailhawk uses a 2.0-liter Multijet II diesel engine and is only available with four-wheel drive. The Compass Trailhawk is expected to be priced on par with the top-spec Compass.
