Hyundai has updated the slow-selling Eon with some interesting features. A 6.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system is now available on the base model Eon.
It’s called the Eon Sports Edition, although the 1.0-liter version does not get these updates. That said, other standard features include roof rails and body side mouldings.
The Eon Sports Edition is only available on the 800cc Era Plus and Magna Plus variants. Clearly, the aim here to boost sales of the entry-level Eon, which has been struggling ever since the Renault Kwid arrived on the scene.
The 814cc engine in the Eon puts out 55bhp and churns out 75Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The 3-cylinder engine is claimed to deliver over 21kmpl.
The Hyundai Eon Sports Edition starts at Rs 3.88 lakh for the Era Plus, while the Magna Plus version will set you back by Rs 4.14 lakh.
