Tata Tigor Launched with 4 Variants, starting at Rs 4.70 lakh

Tata Motors has launched the stylish new Tigor compact sedan in India. Prices for the Tigor start at Rs 4.70 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. The diesel variant of the Tigor costs Rs 90,000 more than the petrol powered version.

The Tata Tigor (pronounced as Tee-gor) is the third compact sedan by Tata Motors. It is based on the Tiago but has been re-engineered for better space and practicality. The front end of the Tigor is reminiscent of the Tiago but things change as you move towards the rear. The swooping coupe-like profile and the compact boot blends perfectly with the design of the vehicle. In my opinion, it’s the best looking compact sedan currently on sale in India.

The Tata Tigor is available in four petrol and four diesel variants.

Tiago Petrol Prices-
– XE- Rs 4.70 Lakh
– XT- Rs 5.41 Lakh
– XZ- Rs 5.90 Lakh
– XZ (O)- Rs 6.19 lakh

Tiago Diesel Prices-
– XE- Rs 5.60 Lakh
– XT- Rs 6.31 Lakh
– XZ- Rs 6.80 Lakh
– XZ (O)- Rs 7.09 Lakh

The Tata Tigor comes loaded with features as it tries to make its presence felt in the crowed compact sedan segment. Notable features on the Tigor include a rear-center armrest with cup holders, Harmann touch-screen infotainment system, automatic climate control and reverse camera to name a few.

The Tigor petrol is powered by a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder Revotron engine that develops 85hp. The diesel unit is a 1.05-liter Revotroq engine which makes 70hp. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard across all variants. However, an AMT version of the Tigor is expected to arrive later.
