The Dendrobium unveiled by Vanda Electronics at the 2017 Geneva International Motor Show was developed as Singapore’s first hyper car. Vanda is a start-up with a facility in Singapore that works on developing electric mobility technologies.
The Dendrobium has an EV powertrain. The UK’s world-renowned Williams Group’s Williams Advanced Engineering was used as a technical partner. There are 2 front and back axles and a total of 4 motors. It has a lithium ion battery for its secondary battery.
The hyper car can go from 0 to 96km/h in 2.7 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 322km/h. Vanda says, “Judging by the reaction at the motor show, we’re planning to release a mass market version in 2020.”
