India: New Cars Coming Up Later This Year 2017

We saw the launch of new cars such as the Tata Hexa and the Maruti Ignis in the Q1 2017, but this is seemingly just an introduction to the new vehicles coming up in the later months. Moreover, with popular cars such as the new Maruti Swift, the Swift Dzire, Ford EcoSport, and Tata Tigor coming up in this year, there might be high competition in the market. Keeping these aside, we also have Volkswagen in the line with its relaunch of Lexus and Passat in the Indian market which are going to come in three luxury concepts.

Here is a quick insight on the three.

Volkswagen Tiguan

Volkswagen will launch its Tiguan in the Indian market in April. The upcoming car will offer a sporty SUV design with 2.0-litre diesel engine powering a 177hp engine with 350Nm torque. It will include a seven-speed DSG gearbox that includes AWD system. By the looks of it, the car seems to feature an ample interior with modern features.

Hyundai Xcent facelift (March 2017)

Hyundai is also set to make an appearance in India with its Xcent. The upcoming car, which reportedly has a front end similar to Hyundai’s Grand i10, will have more power under the hood. Even the interiors of the new car will be updated to offer more comfort such as a touch screen infotainment system.

Porsche Panamera (March 2017)

Looking at the high luxury cars upcoming this year, the second-generation Porsche Panamera is all ready to impress the crowd. The new model is likely to get not only the standard model, but also the long-wheelbase model which is termed as Panamera Executive. The first one to launch in March is termed as Panamera Turbo, while the second one will be termed as Panamera Executive Turbo. There are also reports on an expected hybrid to come in later years.
