Right after the Japan release of the new 90 Series, Volvo has made the world debut of the new XC60 at the Geneva International Motor Show. The first full model change for a crossover SUV, it represents the new Volvo.
The new XC60 is the 2nd generation model and uses the Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) chassis. The exterior introduces Volvo’s newest design language. While sharing many of the new XC90’s design features like the headlights, the side’s strong press line sets it apart from the design of the 90 Series.
The main stage at this year’s show was occupied by the R-Design sports grade. It has a front and rear bumper that’s connected to the spoiler. Features include a dark front grille and twin exhaust. The under body has specially designed aluminum wheels, a bright roof rail, and Matte Silver door mirrors. The interior features items in the style of the R-Design.
