The new and improved Porsche 911 GT3 now comes with a 4.0 liter horizontally opposed 6 cylinder naturally aspirated engine, opposed to the former model’s 3.8 liter engine. With just about the same power as the 911 GT3 Cup, it has an output of 500ps, 25ps more powerful than the past model.
As for the transmission, the new model comes with a 7 speed dual clutch PDK. In addition, Porsche also announced that the 6 speed manual transmission would also be brought back. For the 7 speed PDK model, the car does 0 to 100km/h in 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 318km/h; the 6 speed manual transmission model does 0 to 100km/h in 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of 320km/h, meaning that while the 7 speed PDK has faster acceleration, the 6 speed manual transmission model has a higher top speed. Regardless, both North American models have top class power.
As for the vehicle’s styling, the towering rear spoiler made of carbon fiber gives off a powerful impression and provides excellent aerodynamic performance. The interior comes with a sports steering wheel taken from the 918 Spyder along with reinforced side supports for the seats.
