Tata’s new brand, TAMO, unveils Racemo in Geneva

On March 7, Tata Motors Limited, the largest automobile manufacturer in India, unveiled its Racemo, the first model for its new TAMO brand, at the 2017 Geneva International Motor Show in Switzerland.

The TAMO brand was established as part of Tata Motors’ Passenger Vehicle strategy. Unlike the company’s traditional approach to auto manufacturing, for TAMO, the Indian automaker will partner with IT and venture companies from around the world to develop new models equipped with the latest technology. Moreover, TAMO will offer future mobility solutions and emphasize the enhancement of in-car connectivity.

The recently unveiled Racemo is a two-seater sports car concept that features an exterior length of 3,835mm.

The powertrain is a 1.2-liter inline three-cylinder gasoline turbo engine that generates 190ps of maximum output and 21.4kgm of maximum torque. Combined with its six-speed automatic transmission, the Racemo is powered to accelerate from 0 to 96km/h in less than six seconds.
