Revamped Suzuki Swift debuts in Geneva

On March 7, Suzuki Motor Corporation unveiled its all-new Swift at the 2017 Geneva International Motor Show in Switzerland.

The brand new Swift features HEARTECT, a newly developed platform that offers significantly reduced weight and high rigidity. The new model was developed with emphasis on the delivery of innovative styling and exhilarating driving performance.

The all-new Swift also features sharp and elegant styling and driving performance that was cultivated on the streets of Europe, a sporty and functional interior and advanced safety technology.

For the European model, Suzuki has established two types of gasoline engines. The direct injection 1.0-liter inline three-cylinder Booster Jet gasoline turbo engine generates 111ps of maximum output and 17.3kgm of maximum torque. According to the Japanese automaker, the 1.0-liter engine offers the same level of power as the 1.8-liter naturally aspirated engine. Moreover, the hybrid engine that will be available in Japan has not been established for the European market.
