No Dashboard or Steering Wheel in VW’s New Concept Car

European automotive giant Volkswagen debuted their new concept car, the Sedric, at a preview event on the evening of March 6 at the Geneva International Motor Show 2017.

This concept is an autonomous driving vehicle that uses Volkswagen Group’s most cutting edge automotive technology. The car’s name, Sedric, is derived from a shortening of the phrase self-driving car.

What’s especially interesting about this car is that normal operating apparatuses such as the steering wheel and foot pedals have been completely removed, making this concept car the company’s image of a completely autonomous car.

Also, inside the car there is no dashboard. The four seater car has passengers sitting in rows of two facing each other, making for a more relaxed driving experience.
