2017 Geneva Motor Show: Mazda to make Europe debut of new CX-5

On February 1, Mazda Europe announced that it will unveil the new CX-5 at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show in March.

The new CX-5 is its 2nd generation model. Its development was based on the key phrase “An SUV that everyone will love” and stressed designing it not only for the driver but for the passengers as well. It aims to even further increase the joy of driving which is Mazda’s aim.

It is equipped with G-Vectoring Control, the first feature of the Skyactiv-Vehicle Dynamics vehicle control technology. It was given a performance feel that allows the car to respond directly to the driver’s will and high noise reduction and comfort features both driver and passengers will enjoy.

Based on the KODO design theme, the exterior is both lustrous and virile while the interior is designed for comfort passengers can feel. It is the first to offer the newly developed Soul Red Crystal Metallic body color, which highlights the luxurious form of the KODO design.

The powertrain lineup offers Skyactiv-G 2.0, Skyactiv-G 2.5 and Skyactiv-D 2.2 to suit the desires of the market. According to Mazda, it offers tough and linear driving performance with excellent environmental performance.
