On January 9, Honda unveiled the new Odyssey for North America at the 2017 North American International Auto Show. The main point its development stressed was connectivity.
The Odyssey for North America made its debut in 1994 and since then it has continually progressed as a multipurpose model suited to the needs of families. The new model continues in this tradition. It introduces various connectivity features designed especially for families.
Honda has added a new functionality to the spacious interior to connect all passengers using mics, speakers and infrared cameras. This functionality is called Cabin Talk and it connects the driver with the back passengers through speakers and headphones.
It also has Cabin Watch, which uses infrared cameras to monitor the backseat using an 8-inch display at the center of the dashboard. The infrared cameras allow the driver to see what’s going on even when it is dark.
Honda says, “The new Odyssey offers complete utility to connect all passengers.”
