2017 North American International Auto Show: Honda to introduce new hybrid-exclusive model in 2018

At a press conference held on January 9 at the 2017 North American International Auto Show, Honda Motor Company’s President Takahiro Hachigo announced that a new hybrid-exclusive model will be released to the U.S. market in 2018.

This new hybrid is projected to come loaded with Honda’s advanced two-motor hybrid system, which is currently featured on the Accord Hybrid. For the U.S. model, it offers an exceptional fuel efficiency of 49 miles/gallon.

Moreover, this hybrid-exclusive model will be assembled at Honda’s existing plant in the U.S. The Japanese automaker will be releasing more information on the vehicle and its production facility at a later date.
