At the end of November, Lexus launched a special site for the new LC luxury coupe.
The LC is Lexus’s new luxury 2-door coupe. The frame features the newly developed FR platform and offers a design that combines the elegance of a luxury coupe and dynamic proportions that balance design and functional components. The body is 4760mm long, 1920mm wide and 1345mm tall with a 2870 wheelbase.
The cockpit has a driving position that seems to integrate the driver and car. The position of the pedals, the angle of the steering wheel, and the holding ability of the seat offer a layout that is refined to its smallest details. Using leather and Alcantara, it offers the special feel and craftsmanship only Lexus could provide, with highly textured materials and a deep level of comfort.
The power train for the LC500 grade is the new 2UR-GSE 5.0L V8 gasoline engine used for the RC F and GS F. For the US, it puts out 475ps/7100rpm and its maximum torque is 54kgm/4800-5600rpm. The transmission is 10-speed AT. Both the brake and accelerator respond to the driver’s touch from G and it has a new system that chooses the appropriate gear.
Lexus has launched a special site for the LC ahead of its spring 2017 Japan release. Through free membership, visitors can get exclusive LC information and messages from the developers of the LC. Through a lottery, select members can join a special exhibit of the prototype.
