On December 8, Lexus announced it will unveil the all-new LS at the 2017 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), which takes place next January.
The first-generation LS (the first-gen Toyota Celsior, in Japan) was introduced back in January 1989 at the NAIAS. The LS, the first model for the Lexus brand, wrote a new chapter in the automotive industry as a luxury model to target the global market.
Nearly three decades after the debut of the first LS, its fifth-gen model (second-gen LS in Japan) is set to make its first appearance at the upcoming 2017 NAIAS. As the current LS was launched in 2006, this marks its first remodeling in more than a decade.
Moreover, Lexus has released a teaser image of the all-new LS. It looks as though the front end has been inherited from the LF-FC concept, which was showcased last October at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show.
