On November 17, Toyota Motor Sales, USA unveiled its C-HR to the North American market at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The Japanese version of the C-HR comes available in a hybrid and 1.2-liter turbo engine. For the hybrid, its 1.8-liter inline four-cylinder gasoline engine generates 98ps of maximum output and 14.5kgm of maximum torque. The 1.2-liter inline four-cylinder gasoline turbo engine, which is also featured on the Auris, produces 116ps of maximum output and 18.9kgm of maximum torque.
In contrast, the recently unveiled C-HR for the North American market only offers a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder gasoline system (maximum output: 144hp; maximum torque: 19.3kgm).
The North American lineup consists of two trims, the XLE and XLE Premium, and both are equipped with CVT.
Toyota is scheduled to release the 2018 C-HR to the US market sometime in 2017.
