We’ve managed to get 40 images of the prototype of the new C-HR compact SUV that Toyota has unveiled to the press. The C-HR made its debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show as a concept car and then appeared at a number of motor shows, especially in Europe.

The C-HR was developed with special attention paid to two keywords, “form” and “drive.” In addition to a body with a sense of speed and the tough underbody of an SUV, the design aimed at creating a car with careful attention to particulars in terms of quality, form, color, and so on. The concept for its driving performance was, “Our own concept of driving.” Taking even further the work of TNGA, which created the new Prius, it has a low center of gravity and high body rigidity. Through tests on various road conditions in different European countries and driving on circuits both inside and outside Japan, Toyota has managed to create a new model with excellent handling and a comfortable drive.

The C-HR shown in these pictures is the gasoline model. It has a 1.2L engine and the color is Dark Brown Mica Metallic.
