On September 29, Mitsubishi made the world premiere of the GT – PHEV Concept at the 2016 Paris Motor Show.
The GT – PHEV Concept is the latest in a series of concept cars that includes the Concept XR PHEV2, which was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in spring 2015, and the eX Concept, which was premiered at the Tokyo Motor Show in the fall of 2015. The GT – PHEV Concept is a next-generation SUV.
The PHEV (plug-in hybrid) system includes a next-gen high capacity battery, high-output and high-efficiency triple motor layout, and an engine for PHEV use with improved power generation and driving force. It can drive up to 120km on EV mode and an overall driving range of over 1200km.
There is one motor in the front and two in the rear. The full-time 4WD and Super All Wheel Control (S-AWC) control system give it a highly dynamic driving performance.
The main feature of the exterior is the body’s muscularity and sense of dignity. While it has an imposing sense of strength, it also has finer features that give it a stylish and luxurious feel. The interior has burgundy real leather that’s color coordinated with the roof. The interior space skillfully combines comfort and luxury.
