Honda is unveiling the Jazz (Fit in Japan) Sport Light Edition at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, which opened its doors on September 29.
The current Fit for Europe made its debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. It had a 1.3L direct-injection V4 gasoline i-VTEC by Earth Dream Technology with 102ps. There was no 1.5L version for Japan.
The transmission is 6-speed MT and CVT. The previous model was 5-speed and the new model takes it to 6. In Japan, only the 1.5L RS grade has 6-speed MT. For Europe, Honda has put together 1.3L and 6-speed MT to meet the tastes of the local market.
The Sport Edition unveiled in Paris is a special edition model of the European Jazz. It is a further progression of the fashionable Keen Light concept car that Honda presented at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in the spring of that year.
The front grille and door mirrors are bronze. The suspension has 15-inch aluminum wheels. The steering wheel and center console are also specially designed.
