Subaru to release Legacy Outback X-Advance to celebrate 50th anniversary of boxer engine

Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI) announced that on January 9, 2017, it will release the Legacy Outback X-Advance as its third special edition model to commemorate the 50th anniversary of their release of the boxer engine.

The Legacy Outback X-Advance was developed based on the design theme of “stylish outdoor gear with true functionality.”

Along with its exclusive water-repellant synthetic leather seats, the interior offers a refined appearance with yellow green stitching on the steering wheel and shift boot as well as through preserving the essential texture of the gear without incorporating any shiny parts for decorations around the driver’s seat.

The exterior features gun metallic alloy wheels as well as black roof rails and side mirrors to highlight its presence as an outdoor gear. The “OUTBACK” label on the side cladding has been changed to yellow green coloring for a more extraordinary touch.

The Subaru Legacy Outback X-Advance is priced at 3,218,400 yen.
