European version of the new Civic Hatchback

2016 Paris Motor Show: Honda to debut new Civic Hatchback

On September 7, Honda Motor Company announced it will unveil the European version of the all-new Civic Hatchback at the 2016 Paris Motor Show commencing on September 29.

In mid-August, Honda revealed images of the new Civic Hatchback for the US. This new model will also be assembled at Honda of the UK Manufacturing Ltd. in Swindon, United Kingdom.

For the widely beloved Civic series, this is the 10th generation global model. Following the releases of the sedan and coupe, the hatchback is the third model for the new series.

Similar to the sedan and coupe, the hatchback was developed using the platform from its global model. According to Honda, the concept of the Civic series remains unchanged, with significant improvements to its product appeal, which includes a sportier design, exceptional fuel efficiency and handling, and enhanced convenience.

For the power train on the US model, Honda has established a direct injection 1.5-liter inline four-cylinder VTEC Turbo gasoline engine. The transmission comes available in either a six-speed manual or CVT.
