In early July, Acura, Honda’s luxury brand for the overseas, announced its June 2016 sales results for the all-new NSX, which was released in June to the US market.
Acura commenced production of the new NSX at their Ohio plant on May 24. The brand new model will be assembled exclusively at Honda’s Performance Manufacturing Center (PMC) in Marysville, Ohio.
The PMC is a new state-of-the-art plant that features exceptional production quality, craftsmanship and technological innovation. Moreover, the 3.5-liter V6 twin turbo engine for the NSX will be manually produced at Honda’s Anna Engine Plant in Ohio.
The base price for the new NSX is 156,000 USD (approx. 16,450,000 yen). In June, two units of this new model were delivered to customers in the US.
Acura’s Vice President Jon Ikeda said, “The release of the new NSX has finally arrived. With this, we have high expectations for our sales in the second-half (July to December) of 2016.â€
