Nissan displayed the Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo at a May 20th Gran Turismo Sport event in the UK.
The full-sized Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo made its first appearance at Goodwood Festival Of Speed 2014 in the UK in June, 2014. The model is a virtual sports car for Vision Gran Turismo, made through collaboration between auto makers and the Gran Turismo 6 game for PlayStation 3. The development concept was “A Future Supercar with a 2+2 Layout.”
Young designers at London’s Nissan Design Europe launched a production to create their own vision of a dream sports car. Afterwards, engineers at Nissan Technical Center took the design and provided technical feedback. The combination of the design ideas and technical feedback created the current model.
The new Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo made its debut at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show last fall. It was brought out before Japanese fans resplendent in the special silvery “Fire Night” red body color. The power train is a hybrid 4WD system with a V6 twin turbo.
At the UK event on May 20, seven other Vision Gran Turismo models were on display. It was the most Vision Gran Turismo’s that have ever appeared together.
