On May 24, Honda’s Acura brand announced that it has begun production of the new NSX at its special facility in Ohio.
The NSX is set to make a comeback as a next-generation hybrid supercar. It is being built at Honda’s Performance Manufacturing Center in Marysville, Ohio.
Performance Manufacturing Center is a facility that sets a new worldwide standard in terms of excellent production quality, craftsmanship and technological innovation.
The 3.5L V6 twin turbo engine is also being produced largely by hand in Ohio, at its Anna production plant.
Advanced orders for the new NSX in the US began February 25. The US base price is $156,000 (about 15,750,000 yen). The first commercial model to come off the line has a Valencia Red Pearl body color. It was sold to Rick Hendrick at a charity auction for $1,200,000 (about 13.2 million yen).
